Artist Series/Art Gang...

A brief interview with the guy they call Nosego...

But...before the interview...I'd like to share how I came across the works of  Yis Goodwin.
As an avid Flickr user, I've come across massive amounts of original art work created by people from all walks of life. In my opinion, some of the work is very good while other pieces are not appealing to me at all. When I came across the works of an artist named "Nosego" I was immediately engaged in his art. The first things I saw were hand drawn stickers that had a crisp and fresh look to them. Second were the various paintings Nose created depicting animals, original characters, great color choices, and fuzzy shit. Its not enough that the kid has tons of talent with the paints, I was further surprised and impressed that Nose creates his own clothing too. I purchased his "Circle Bear" crew neck sweater as soon as I saw it. I knew that I wanted to work with Nose on a T-shirt for Grownkids from the first day I discovered his art and I'm very happy and proud to announce the 1st Grownkids/Nosego collaboration...

Here are the Q's and A's...

Camilla D'Errico...

Sorceress...

Ok...I had a great time at NYCC this year. It seemed as if there where twice as many people there compared to 2009. There were also WAY more people dressed up like your favorite anime character and I plan to do a full ComicCon post as soon as I find the USB for my camera. Moving on...The highlight of NYCC for me was meeting Camilla D'Errico and getting a signed print of one of her paintings...Dope. Below are some more examples of her work...

"Yutta"

"Milk Thistle Ninja Girl"

"Birds Nest"

"The Sorceress"

I'm quite sure that you're all impressed and eager to see more...Check out the rest of Camilla's work at Camillad'errico.com...

Custom Obama....My "Idol"

"Gilver" Edition

Here are a few shots of my latest custom. A couple of folks say its too simple, but I think that it came out great. I was thinking about ancient civilizations that created Idols in honor of a particular god or deity when creating this piece. Enjoy!

Happy Birthday GrownKids!

Greetings to all,  This is the first post of many that I hope will serve as my digital voice in this online world. I am a 28 year old "kid" with a passion for art in any form and I strive to create whenever I can. I will post pictures of my work...as well as other artist who have caught my attention. I also have an obsession with T-shirts and sneakers so you can expect a lot of information on "fashion" at GrownKids. Enough about me for now,  I feel like jumping in and celebrating this joyous occasion with a FREE giveaway! This contest will run until February 28th and a winner will be chosen and contacted with all details the very next day. I am very curious as to what the most popular "urban" toy is at the moment, and would like your opinions on the topic. Entry into this giveaway is granted to anyone who leaves a comment or sends in an email stating their favorite piece at the moment. Very simple. Up for grabs is a $25 gift card to very popular "toy" shop so get crackin!
